Burt Reynolds and Sally Field filmed four movies together (including Smokey and the Bandit and Hooper) and dated on and off for five years. Sally Field and Burt Reynolds were a high profile couple for several years after meeting on the set of Smokey and the Bandit. In 2015 Burt Reynolds told Vanity Fair hat Sally Field was the love of his life. Burt Reynolds was an award-winning actor who appeared regularly on television for some time before his 1972 appearances in the film Deliverance, which became a breakthrough role . He was a leading movie star in 1970s and 1980s as well has Smokey and the Bandit, he also starred in The Longest Yard, Starting over and The Cannonball Run. Reynolds 1997 role in Boogie Nights earned him an Oscar nomination and a golden Globe. Sally Field is the recipient of various Accolades including two Academy awards, three Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden globe Awards, a screen actors Guild Award and nominations for Tony Award and two British Academy Film Awards. Field began her career on television staring in the comedies Gidget, The flying nun and The girl with something extra, she was also in the western , The way West. . Her movie career escalated during the 1970s with starring roles in films including Stay Hungary , Smokey and the bandit, heroes , The end and hooper. Her career expanded further in the 80s starring in Smokey and the Bandits, Absence of Malice , Steel Magnolias , Mrs Doubtfire and Forest Gump etc.
