Description
Thomas Tuchel a German professional football manager and former player who is the current head coach of Premier League club Chelsea.
When a knee injury ended his playing career he became youth coach and eventually earned top job at Mainz in 2009 and replaced Jurgen Klopp and secured UEFA europa League qualification twice, he then replaced Klopp again at Borussia Dortmund in April 2015 and secured the clubs first trophy for five years with 2016/17 German cup. He then went on to manage Paris Saint-German and in his first two seasons there he won the league twice, won both domestic cups and took his side to the UEFA champions League final, suffering a 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich. In 2020 he replaced Frank Lampard at Chelsea and lead them from ninth in the Premier League to fourth place finish. He guided the club to FA cup final and beat Manchester City along the way but Leicester City won 1-0 at Wembley Stadium. Tuchel reached his second successive UEFA champions league final and won victoriously when Chelsea beat Man City 1-0, winning the trophy for only the second time in their history
